Offered fully online and on campus, the B.A. in Gender Studies is taken along with another B.A. or B.S. major where students complete the requirements for the Gender Studies major and another B.A. or B.S. major to obtain a single degree with two majors

The B.A. in Gender Studies requires 30 credits.

6 credits of required courses from:

  • 443:201 Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies
  • 443:230 Introduction to LGBTQIA+ Studies
  • 443:314 Masculinities 
  • 443:210 Global Gender Issues
  • 443:313 Transgender Studies

24 credits of elective courses from among the Gender Studies course offerings and from approved courses in other areas.

To graduate with a degree in gender studies, a student must achieve a grade of C (2.0) or better in all courses required for the major and 6 credits must be at the 300-level or above.
